About the Candidate
Background on Brendan
I have been a New Yorker for more than 12 years, and a Manhattanite for almost a decade. I attended college in New York, earning my Bachelor of Science in Economics & Psychology from St. Lawrence University, and later graduated from Cornell University with my MBA and Masters in Labor Relations, before returning to New York City in 2021.
While I currently work in the Human Capital industry, spending time advocating for employees at a global bank, I have enjoyed being involved in the activist community outside of my day job. I've been an human rights activist and strong supporter of various progressive Democratic candidates over the past decade, across the country.
In addition to activist work, I have spent time volunteering for campaigns like the AOC's first
NY-14 Congressional race in 2018 and Jon Ossoff's GA Senate campaign in 2020. I have been so inspired by these young activists seeking to bring a new generation of leadership to politics, my goal is to do the same at the state level here in New York!
